Ever since high school, I have had a personal passion for self-studying languages. It all started when, at a summer program, I met a Chinese boy of the same age who was studying in the U.S. and was practically fluent in English. He told me that he had learned English completely from China, never having visited the U.S. before. After that, I told myself, “Wow, if he could learn such a hard language like English without ever leaving China, I can surely do the same.” From that point on, I put a lot of personal energy into studying and becoming fluent in Spanish. Currently, my two focus languages are Spanish (advanced) and Mandarin Chinese (beginner).

Español ha sido el primer idioma que he intentado aprender. Se siente bastante útil viviendo en los Estados Unidos y me ha abierto muchas oportunidades de ver perspectivas diferentes a las que crecí.
